Built for the real rhythm of Kenyan rental work.
Letrents began with a simple observation: property teams in Kenya were doing serious, careful work, but the tools around them made that work harder to see, explain, and trust.
Across Kenya, rent may arrive through M-Pesa, bank channels, cards, and offline conversations. Confirmations can sit in SMS, notes in WhatsApp, balances in spreadsheets, and repairs in someone's memory. At month-end, teams are often forced to reconstruct the story of a property instead of reading it from one clear record.
The problem was never effort. Landlords, agencies, caretakers, accountants, and tenants were already carrying the work. What was missing was a shared operating record: a place where payments, people, leases, receipts, follow-ups, repairs, and reports could live together without losing the local context of how rentals actually run here.
That is why Letrents is being built from Kenya outward. We are starting with the day-to-day realities of Kenyan property teams: rent days, payment references, tenant communication, owner questions, maintenance coordination, and the pressure of closing the month cleanly. The product is practical on purpose because the work it supports is practical too.
Kenya is the beginning, not the limit. Over time, our vision is to support rental operators across African markets while respecting the payment habits, teams, tenants, and regulations that make each market specific.
